Inside Joy Lab Ceramics
Joy Lab Philosophy:
At Joy Lab Ceramics, we believe clay isn’t just a medium—it’s a mirror. A grounding, forgiving, earthy invitation to slow down and reconnect with yourself, your creativity, and your community.
In a world that rushes and performs, we choose presence over perfection, process over product.
Whether you're here to pinch your first pot or deepen your practice, our studio is a space to make messes, take up space, and honor the joyful, sacred act of creating something with your hands.
We believe everyone is an artist—and that art, like joy, is meant to be shared.
Is this you?
Joy Lab Ceramics is for the curious, the creative, and the courageously messy.
For the ones who’ve always wanted to try working with clay, and for the seasoned potters or artists who crave community over competition.
It’s for the burnt-out, the tenderhearted, the play-deprived, and the idea-octopus neurospicy among us.
If you’re craving a slower pace, tactile joy, and a space where showing up as your full self is not only allowed but celebrated—welcome home.
Ways to Play and Create with the Joy Lab:
-
Memberships
Our membership program is the heartbeat of the studio—a space for creative consistency, connection, and clay-covered joy.
Members enjoy monthly studio hours, access to Clay Coaching sessions, shelf storage, and a supportive community to grow their practice.
Whether you’re dabbling once a week or building a full-on ceramics ritual, there’s a membership tier for you.
-
Classes/Workshops
From beginner-friendly pinch pots to advanced surface design, our classes and workshops are a playful, pressure-free way to learn ceramics.
We offer structured series and one-time experiences where you can slow down, get grounded, and create with your hands (and heart).
-
Private Events
Celebrate birthdays, team outings, creative friend nights, or family milestones with a custom clay experience.
We’ll guide your group through a project that’s meaningful, memorable, and maybe a little messy—in the best way.
BYOB welcome.
-
Community Projects
Joy Lab partners with local schools, organizations, and artists to co-create public and participatory art.
These projects connect people through clay, spark conversations, and leave a lasting (and sometimes tiled!) impact.
If you're dreaming up a collaborative idea, we want to hear about it.
Memberships
Joy Lab’s Open Studio Memberships are designed for clay-curious creatives who’ve already had a little to a lot of time working with clay.
We’ll kick things off with a quick studio walkthrough so you feel totally at home and confident using the space.
Brand new to clay? ➡️ Start with our Intro to Ceramics class — it’s the perfect first date before diving into membership.
