Community Clay Studio in Thousand Oaks

How to clay with me at the Joy Lab:

Open Studio Memberships · Classes · Workshops · Events

A community-rooted home for creativity, connection, and the beautifully messy magic of clay.

This is a place for us.

Joy Lab Ceramics is more than a pottery studio—it’s a creative community built on connection, curiosity, and the joy of making things with our hands. For some, it’s a needed pause in the week. For others, it’s a return to creativity. For all of us, it’s a place to feel at home.

Here, we gather around the clay table with mud on our hands, laughter in the room, and zero pressure to be perfect. Through memberships, workshops, and private events, we create space for people to learn, play, grow, and reconnect with what makes them feel alive.

For those who want deeper support, 1:1 Joy Coaching and The Joy Model™ are still part of the Joy Lab ecosystem—but the heart of this space is community: humans showing up for themselves and for each other.

You are worthy of joy. You are worthy of support. You are worthy of a community that celebrates your creativity and welcomes your messiness.

Welcome in. I’m so glad you’re here.

With joy,
Lina

Joy Lab Ceramics Origin Story…

In February 2025, I tossed my proverbial hat over the wall.

After four years of not having a pottery studio to practice in, I suddenly had nowhere to keep going—and I realized it wasn’t just me. There wasn’t a true place for potters in Thousand Oaks to gather, learn, and create in community.

And then a friend said the words that changed everything:

“If you start this, I’m a yes.”

She didn’t just say yes to a class. She said yes to a vision— a community studio where people could create, connect, and belong. So I started with what I had. A small space. A BIG dream. And a handful of people who showed up with open hearts and mud ready hands.

And from there, it grew.

Now the dream has an address, right on TO Blvd —an expansive home for clay in community. More room to throw, build, glaze, and linger. More wheels. A dedicated kiln area. Space to gather for workshops, memberships, and creative nights that feel like one big community exhale. Corners for beautiful pieces, little treasures, and local art. And carved-out studios for our Master Potter Collective members to go deeper into their craft.

Some might say this isn’t the right time to grow. I believe it’s exactly the right time.

Because Joy Lab isn’t just a ceramics studio.

It’s a movement. A place to resist the hustle and slow down. A place to be reminded of our humanity, expand ourselves and our makes, and join a rebellion of joy.

I am joy. And so are you.

Love Notes from the Community.
