What is Joy Lab Ceramics?

Clay isn’t a medium. It’s a mirror.

At Joy Lab Ceramics Thousand Oaks, we believe in presence over perfection and process over product. Whether you're here to pinch your first pot or deepen a lifelong practice, our studio is a space to make messes, take up space, and honor the joyful, sacred act of creating something with your hands.

“We believe everyone is an artist — and that art, like joy, is meant to be shared.”

The Joy Lab Ceramics Origins Story

She said "if you start this, I'm a yes" — and everything changed.

"In February 2025, I tossed my proverbial hat over the wall. There wasn't a true place for potters in Thousand Oaks to gather, learn, and create in community. So I started with what I had. A small space. A BIG dream. And a handful of people who showed up with open hearts and mud-ready hands."

‍ ‍

Now the dream has an address right on TO Blvd — an expansive home for clay in community. More room to throw, build, glaze, and linger. More wheels. A dedicated kiln area. Space to gather for workshops, memberships, and creative nights that feel like one big community exhale.

Because Joy Lab Ceramics isn't just a studio. It's a movement — a place to resist the hustle and slow down. To be reminded of our humanity and join a rebellion of joy.
